Get to Know Life-Changing Diet Tips

Whether you’re a picky eater or someone who loves all food, dieting to shred body fat can be equally as difficult. On the one side, you have someone who may not like the foods they need to eat in order to reduce stubborn fat. On the other side, your food cravings are such that you can’t stop yourself from eating the foods you need to stay away from. This is where the importance of life-changing diet tips comes in.

You go through diet after diet with little success, simply because your fundamental principles are not set in stone before you take on the challenge. Yes, this is not an easy task. Yes, this will require a lot of commitment and even some sacrifice. But there are still variables that you can control that will make this process easier and more calculated, rather than going in blind without knowing what to expect.

STICK TO THESE DIET TIPS TO GET RID OF STUBBORN FAT

COUNT YOUR CALORIES

You can’t expect to know how your food affects your progress if you don’t know what your caloric intake is. It’s simple math that will make the complex science of shredding seem a lot easier and more calculated as time passes.

For example, if you’re eating 3000 calories a day, you should have a good idea of which percentage of that comes from fat, protein and carbs.

Then, looking at your body composition, raise or lower your macros to initiate changes in your physique.

For example: If you’re holding a lot of body fat, it would be a good idea to cut unhealthy fats and sugars from your diet and replace them with complex carbs and unsaturated fat sources, while slightly cutting your caloric intake.

Is it a pain in the ass to write down your calories? Yes. Do you want girls to do a double take every time you pass them on the beach? Yes.

DON’T NEGLECT CERTAIN MACROS

During a cutting phase, it’s obvious that you will need to keep protein a little higher and carbs and fats a little lower. However, for people embarking on this journey for the first time, this may get confused with cutting out carbs or fat altogether. There’s no bigger mistake you can make than that.

Your body requires fats for brain function, skin and nail health, hormone regulation and many other important reasons. Carbohydrates are a critical component of the digestion process and both contain a wide array of vitamins and fibre to help your body operate.

Six meals consisting of just protein sources will lead you to crash your diet and binge on foods you don’t need. Apart from that, a non-balanced diet plan will not provide you with the energy you need in the gym (and out of it).

CHEW YOUR FOOD

Very rarely do you hear people telling you this when they explain the importance of diet. When it comes to proper nutrition, consumption is only half the battle.

The second and more important half is digestion. The easier your stomach can break down the molecules for your body to use, the less of it will go to waste and the more efficient you will be in digesting your food. Chew your food a minimum of 20 times and make sure that before you swallow, it is reduced to a paste-like consistency.

If you think your diet plans are not working, consider researching on other safe and effective diet tips that won’t only change your eating habits and food choices but as well as your life. It’s amazing how much of a difference small changes can make and how easy they are to implement as one creates new habits.

When you put together the sum total of my 30 years of bodybuilding training, the contests, the vast array of diets I have experimented (tortured) myself with as well as the experiences I have been through with various training partners in the gyms I have trained in all over the world, it’s been a great ride and I wouldn’t change it for anything. Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to be able to do lots of personal training for private clients alongside my day job. For a few years during my 30’s, I moved to Asia and worked as the Fitness Manager and head personal trainer at one of Thailand’s leading gyms in Bangkok. Learn More
