I think one of the greatest tragedies in life is not learning from your mistakes. Failures in my experience have been the catalysts for some of the greatest successes in my own life. Those success stories would never have come to fruition unless I had failed, often time and time again until I got it right.
No one likes to fail. But if you must go through the pain of failure, you need to stick with your goals until you succeed or what’s the point of life. You’ll never get what you desire if you give in to failure. Failure simply signposts what not to do so you can continue until you get it right.
LOOKING AT FAILURE IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT
ANALYZE ALL THE FACTORS
Through failure, you need to analyze all the factors that went wrong in whatever activity you failed in. Whether it’s a failed relationship, business venture, sports quest or any other endeavour in life, you need to break it down and scrutinise the process or the decisions you made that lead to the failure. Only through truthful and honest introspection will you be able to eliminate all chances of repeating the same errors in the future.
TRY HARDER AND NEVER GIVE UP
A personal failure can be a tough lesson to digest for so many reasons. It can take you to the brink of despair. In your darkest hour, you may feel you can’t come back from that horribly low point. Yet, you need to keep in mind that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
Through resilience and perseverance, you’ll not only make it back, you’ll come back as a better version of yourself, with gusto and a new level of confidence you never knew existed. Life is that fight you can never give up on, even if you think you have done your best. You can always try just a little bit harder and, by never giving up, success is inevitable.
FOCUS YOUR ATTENTION ON SUCCESS
Most successful people have only achieved that success through trial and error and through using their failures to keep them motivated to keep going and completely dismiss any idea that they’ll fail.
Failures along the way are mere stepping stones to intended success. By focusing your attention on success, you’ll transcend restless and worrying thoughts and attract the resources and people you need to succeed in whatever you put your mind to.
As you become fully aware of your purpose in life, success will be your everyday partner. However, this can take many years before it can manifest. Failures do appear in your life and, as you work through them successfully, you’ll be better equipped to deal with them and they’ll pass relatively unnoticed.
